Kim Scott founded Alkimi & Aura after leaving a rewarding but high-stress position as a director of a housing charity, taking early retirement to explore her passion for natural beauty and fragrance. Having always loved perfume, Kim took a leap of faith to study natural cosmetics and fragrances at the renowned Grasse Institute of Perfumery in France. She returned to the UK determined to empower and inspire other women to be creative, relax, connect with others and uncover their passions.

Working from a place in which simple is better, Alkimi & Aura use high quality, natural ingredients and evocative scents to create products that feel luxurious. A firm believer in the effect that our environment can have on us, Kim uses natural fragrance to uplift and restore - evoking a little of the South of France in every product.

Kim runs Alkimi & Aura and hand makes the natural beauty products in small batches from her home studio in Sheffield, carefully selecting the most beneficial essential oils. In addition to running Alkimi & Aura, Kim works for Cavendish Cancer Care on a part-time basis.

SAFfy ALLISON

Kim’s daughter Saffy, who relocated back to Sheffield from Brisbane, Australia in June 2020, works alongside her mother on the brand, overseeing social media, marketing and business development. Saffy shares Kim’s love of simple, natural products and is excited to be working with her Kim on a project they both feel so passionately about. With her experience working as an administrative and social media coordinator in the past, she is keen to help Kim grow her brand.
